As part of our inquiry around communing as a living process of participation, we stirred in the quality of generosity, using this image: Be with the generosity of our hearts when pumping blood to our toes - the aliveness of our system requires this. The heart pumps blood to the toes because the toes belong to the body; not because our toes earned it; not because our toes are grateful enough; not because there is extra blood to give. Generosity occurs, generosity arises and becomes visible, as we sense that the health, the vitality, of the whole depends upon this generosity. We are alive together and our aliving is flowing and circulating.
