If the winter solstice is the coming-toward of what is ripening in the dark, then ONEing is the way we begin to participate in that coming-toward. Not by effort, not by will, but by allowing ourselves to be met in a different way.
As we practice ONEing over time, something subtle begins to reveal itself: that we are not merely individuals relating. Here, the focus shifts. Instead of “I am holding you” and “you are holding me,” we begin to sense that we are being held by something deeper, quieter, more foundational.
We are presencing a field that is always already shared. We are presenting a shared Heart, a shared inner within, and we find ourselves profoundly immersed and held in this..
This is the beginning of an ontological shift—a change in our very sense of being—from psychological relating to resting in the Heart that gives rise to both self and other.
In this space, perception softens. What once felt like “my awareness” and “your awareness” begins to open into a single field of Presence that perceives through us, breathes through us, and reveals itself between us.
Our practice of ONEing is a gentle way of entering that shared interior. Not to force anything, not to name what is happening, but simply to notice, with humility and curiosity, what becomes possible when we lean into the relational space as if it were alive, intelligent, and beckoning.
